Morning Mamas! I just found this article by MSNBC's Suzanne Choney about safer earbuds for kids. We've all probably subjected our own eardrums to more than their fair share of loud music (really, was REO Speedwagon safe at any volume?). But these days the ubiquitous 21st Century 'tween seems to have earbuds growing straight out of her skull. A few concerned parents have developed their own products to protect against hearing damage, while still allowing kids to listen to their music. Mama Christine Ingemi was so concerned, she developed a product and started a company called iHearSafe. Her earbuds have won awards and been featured in Parenting Magazine. And they'll only set you back $20.00.
