The 21st Century Lemonade Stand
I love my neighborhood. Currently, there are three girls, all about eight or nine years old, selling lemonade and homemade brownies at the corner. But this lemonade stand isn't a purely profit-driven pursuit. These girls are donating every dime they make to Nothing But Nets, an organization that provides mosquito nets to families in Africa, where Malaria is the single biggest killer of children.

Yes, what's cooler than an 8 year old philanthropist? I only wish I'd had my camera along to take a photo.
