Well for most of us this week, it's back to work, back to school, back to reality. In France, they call it la rentree. For the French, this time is even more difficult than it is for us, because many of them are on vacation for the better part of the month of August.
But it doesn't have to be all bad. The sun is still warm, even if the evenings are cooler. New adventures await in the classroom. The truly magnificent color inferno that is autumn is waiting in the wings, ready to burst onto the scene in all her golden glory. There are apple orchards to visit, pumpkins to pick, and, before we know it, Halloween costumes to invent. (Also, don't forget, fall is all about boots!)
Still not convinced that the end of summer actually brings much to look forward to? Then look forward to this: Later today the fabulous Mrs. French will be posting one of her famous "I Heart" lists right here, at Mama's Cup. She'll introduce us to some of her very favorite things for the little ones. How's that for anticipation?
