National Children's Book Week #3: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Since I was young, I have had a special affinity for Lewis Carroll's most celebrated work: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Fantastical, spectacular and a little bit spooky, this timeless tale has met its artistic match in the particular pop-up majesty of Robert Sabuda.

A story this splendidly surreal deserves illustrations that awe. Sabuda's artwork, as usual, delivers. Sabuda has a long list of classics-turned-pop-up--including Peter Pan and the Chronicles of Narnia--but Alice is, by far, my favorite.

Don't forget to tell me about your favorite children's book. When you leave a comment here, you could win one of three awesome gift sets from Yoga by the Dozen. I'll draw winners at random this weekend.
